Support Badminton, Love our Indonesia

Me : Yeay! go Indonesia!

Friend : Oh look at you, fanatic supporter as always. They never win anyway, this is no longer Susi Susanti era.

Me : Oh, don't bother, they don't even need support from a skeptical person like you :)

Always happened. Every time!

Well okay, what we have now is not a dream team like what China have, but this is the reality that our badminton is not in it's best era. Long time back, we  never worried because in Men's Doubles we were (almost) always won the game, sometimes it was an all Indonesian Final. Even though the Women's Singles were not harvesting as MD, but we can always count on Susi Susanti or Mia Audina. Remember the Atlanta Olympic 1996 ? Two out of three podium space for Women's Singles was belong to Indonesia. That was Superb!

Nowadays? The best stages for our female players was semifinal Beijing Olympic 2008, Maria Kristin Yulianti won the bronze medal after demolished Lu Lan from China. After that? it's like in North Pole, during winter. Extra freezing.

But after all, this is what we are now, if you know how to make it better, please speak up and do something. But if you don't? I think dead silence is the best for you now.

Nobody wants to loose, nobody wants to be a looser, and.... nobody wants a looser. So please be smart! Rather than mocking, you better be do something (hey, it rhymes! :D)

So what can you do?

1. No need to enroll a badminton club and become a professional player (unless you're my below 8 YO blog reader). To support badminton, doesn't mean you have to play it, but as long you understand the game I think it's enough. But anyway, playing badminton also good for your health anyway, plus it'll be easier for you to understand better and faster. What you can do is watch the game regularly so you would understand the rules and the game rhythm.

2. By watching the game continuously, you will know who's the great ones, who's still climbing the winning wall, and who's struggling and feels like crying after the game. And there! We have our old saying 'tak kenal maka tak sayang'. If you know them better, it'll be easier for you to love them.

3. Show the world your support. We have twitter, we have Facebook, blog, or other social media you subscribed. By shouting the message, it means you already make a contribution by creating people awareness. This is happening to me. I keep tweeting anything I know about badminton and I got some positive responses from friends whom I believe know nothing about badminton. This means, you are spreading the words, you create awareness, and you influence people. Remember how our beloved football national team got many exposes in twitter by standing in the world's top trending topics? this shows that Indonesians had influenced people around the globe that they love the team to death. It was amazing!

4. Badminton is the only kind of sport which can bring Indonesia to the top of the world. Not to under estimate other sports, but until this minute, I believe we still can only count on badminton to get the gold medal in most prestigious sports event like Olympic. So, this is not just about cheering over something you like, but you also do this for your country. Hehe, don't you feel proud by contribute something to your country? I always use phrase 'melaksanakan tugas negara' while watching badminton tournaments, because you know what? it is !! :D

5. Have you ever tried one of the greatest experience in life? Come and see the tournament LIVE in Istora Senayan. This breathtaking event will make you love the sports even more and more!! You can see the players from all around the world, and you will see how much love. Love? Yeah! The greatest love proudly present by Indonesian Badminton lovers, who are popular with their fanaticism, they are damn good and creatively insane. So, be there and feel the crowd. I can sure you that u'll never regret it.

6. If you are ready to do more, you can start to looking for opportunity in this field. Indonesian Badminton Association? World Badminton Federation? or other local badminton club? or the sports portal? anything. Don't you feel good by doing something you love? And get paid!

So, what I'm trying to say here my friend, please please understand that they do need us to make everything better. Let's make this happen! Don't we want our -what -so -called -Susi Susanti -era - back? Don't you want to be proud of something good from your country who is by the way always busy with the corruption and politic drama? I know deep deep down there the answer is YES. So? let's start now! :)

Thank you and good luck guys. Salam Olahraga!!

Tentang Si Glowing yang Menyilaukan Dunia Netyjen...

Have you ever ngerasain ini? Mau dua-duanya. Kayak cewe-cewe ababil yang ga mo keilangan fans yang lagi dipedekatein dua cowo, trus nyanyik : skali lagi maafkanlah, karna aku cinta kau dan diaaa.... *Gue nulis ini beneran sambil dengerin lagunya Ahmad Band yang Cinta Kau dan Dia..* Final bulutangkis perorangan ganda putra Asian Games 2018. AKU PENGEN DUA-DUANYA YANG MENANG BISA GASIIIH?

Menangisku di Jerman, Tersenyumku di All England ....

Soalnya, medan pertempurannya berat cyyn.
